WESTPRIDE

From today until Sunday the 14th of June in the town where I live, Gothenburg, we celebrate Westpride :-). We, in the team Just People are proud :-). One of the first pictures I photographed for the project had a wonderful HBTQ couple involved, Karin & Bernie. To show our support to Westpride we would like to share this picture . BACK TOGETHER

Ing Marie saw one of my lectures at the Swedish Church earlier this Spring and came to me afterwards with the desire to be part of the project. We talked together and after her story we decided that we wanted to take a generation picture. Mother and daughter lived a part so many years from eachother, missing eachother so much. Finally destiny brought them together again in the same town, in the same country. And when Sofia got her baby happiness was completely for grand-mother Ing Marie.

This Picture is only a teaser but it show anyway the love, happiness and longing in their Eyes.

MADONNA AND THE WHORE

Nina oh Nina….what a woman! What a Life!  What a faith!

I always get impressed when I meet someone that has gone through a lot in Life. It’s an honour to be able to portrait someone that really has something to say to other and keep a cold mind and a very happy funny crazy humour.

43 surgeries but still happy and full of energy and  positive for Life!

Everybody struggles with different roles in Life and still in our society it’s taboo to talk about how women should, can, want to be.

From house-keeping, parenting, to make career, partnership and so on to discuss freely our feelings and  our darkest secrets.

Madonna and the whore (just a teaser) is a picture that wants to bring up the different role a woman brings up every single day.

CHOOSE YOUR OWN PATH

When I was younger, I was both a punk and then a hard rock girl. I always felt I was different from the others in my class. In the teenage time I loved to have strong colours on me and stick out from the crowd. I decided already as a 2-year-old baby, that I wanted to have a motorbike. My mother let me be the person I was, even if sometimes it was not that easy. Society judged you. When I put on my leather jacket I felt invincible. Most of my friends were like that. But what the people outside didn’t know was, that we were, deep inside and under our leather clothes, very kind and gentle and we always helped others.

So I am for sure not a person that judges our young generation and other adults for what they wear or how they look.  When I met Agge in the studio I was immediately fascinated by his amazing arm tattoos.  He has lovely warm eyes and a kind personality even though the piercing and the dressing might put a few persons out of balance. (smile)

During the interview we talked and found soon that he was similar to me. He also felt different from a very young age and also always went his own way, no matter what. It is a  Lovely way of living that for sure many people don’t feel comfortable with, but I believe is more loyal to yourself.

So Agge decided to bring this into his own Picture. When you stand in the middle of Life and you have to choose, you should go your own path, and follow your instincts. Cause they are most of the time the right ones.

And of course, as usually, I tease you with a tiny part of the Picture.

SCRATCH MY BACK

Life is a circle. This we know for sure. This circle has for me different layers.

Our birth, our childhood, our teenage period, our adult time. Sometimes we get children, and then suddenly we are having grand children. We work. We retire. First our mother takes care of us. If we are lucky enough for a very long time. Then suddenly things can change and it’s our turn to take care about our mother. it’s a normal turn I want to believe.

Today I am filled with energy.  I finally had the big opportunity to photograph a wonderful lady from the Island of Gotland together with her beautiful daughter. I look at the  and my heart fills with love and compassion. I get drifted away into my own relations ship with my mother that unfortunately passed away 5 years ago, far too early if you ask me. But I can sense the same feeling by watching at it. And I do hope that many women can relate to this feeling.

I am so sorry that you will have to wait to see the whole Picture until the books comes out or maybe soon in an exhibition later on this year. So for today it’s only a tiny part, a teaser Before the week-end.

A DOGGY LIFESTYLE

To own a dog is a big responsibility. To own a mastiff is an even bigger responsibility….the dog is BIG. It’s a completely different Lifestyle to live for and with dogs. It’s like having children.

Today it was Mia’s turn to be photographed for the project together with her two mastiffs Joyce and Bess (in the Picture 5 year old Joyce). I tease you with a very tiny part of the Picture. It was a fun shoot especially when the dogs want to reward you with a slimy kiss on your face. You have to hold steady to your camera.

Mile stones

When you go into a project you never know where it stops. But for each mile stone you reach it’s like a party, because you know how much work there is behind everything. Today it’s one of these days.

Film director Marita Lobler finalized our film for kickstarter, adding all the music, animation and sounds missing. It will take a little while until we are ready to actually launch it, but it is sooner then later. We hope that many of you will help us giving all those people a voice through the book and the many exhibitions to come.

We have also take further decisions about the e-book that we are going to lauch equally at the same time as kickstarter. So now I have to spend a few hours in front of the computer and prepare those pictures for my art director Daniela.

One of the Pictures in the e-book will be this one, with Beautiful Elizabeth, half australian half and half estonian.  So patience to all of us. More to come.

THE BEST OF 2 WORLDS

Annica is an amazing woman. She is what I can call it a persons with contrast in the positive way. She is YING and YANG.

A beautiful woman with an amazing smile that would kill just anybody. She lives in 2 different worlds. The man world, working at the harbour and having to do with a heavy manly work entoured by male workers. On the other side she works in a salong and fixes up brides and people that want to have a fancy make-up. All that is such an amazing blend. Of course I had to have her in my Project, this versatility intrigues me and I can image that there are other people like her out there blending the female and the male World. It’s indeed an intresting life with big contrasts and rules to adapt to.

Let’s enjoy the best of two Worlds cause every single one of them can give us something back. I tease you with the lower part of the Picture and a Picture of all the props used in this particular photo.

Don’t wait for tomorrow

Any accident that occur to us make us change our thoughts and our way to live our Life. Anita got badly injured in a car crash in 2011.

She remembers the white light and that everything was so calm and wonderful. She was like in a dream.
Still sitting in the car she wanted to just walk up and go back to work, what she didn’t realize was that she couldn’t walk at that time and she wouldn’t do it for a long time ahead.

She still doesn’t recall how she got into the hospital. As soon as she realized though what happened, she started fighting. She got a new LIFE.

She was living.  She had to do the best of each day and today she can walk again, after many operations. She is a fighter and a survivor.

I will tease you with a part of this new Picture and hope to soon be able to present it to one of my new exhibitions.
